Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System's Neuro Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) at St. Ann's seeks a Staff Registered Nurse for the 12-hour night shift in a 35-bed unit focused on stroke and Neuro care.

The role emphasizes teamwork and delivering care via the Nursing Process within organizational guidelines. You will assess patients, assist in procedures, administer medications, educate families, document care, and collaborate with the care team to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of nursing.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS/CPR.
• Ability to plan, organize and manage patient care with delegation.
• Basic EMR charting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient care for an assigned group of patients; assist with examinations and treatments.
• Administer medications under provider direction per organizational policies.
• Assist in emergencies and educate patients and families about procedures.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately.
• Assume responsibility for care provided by other team members as appropriate.
