Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System seeks a Registered Nurse for the Neuro Intermediate Care unit at Mount Carmel East in Columbus, OH. The RN will provide compassionate patient care in a Neuro med/surg and progressive care setting, abiding by Ohio nursing standards and Mount Carmel policies.

Responsibilities include medication administration, patient assessment, and education, with opportunities for neuro-specific certification after years of service.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and manage patient care with delegation where needed.
• Basic computer skills; prior EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient care for an assigned group of patients using evidence-based practices.
• Administer medications according to policy and provider direction.
• Assist in emergency situations and educate patients and families on procedures and diagnoses.
• Document assessments, interventions and outcomes accurately in the chart.
• Maintain accountability for care provided and for supervision of other staff as appropriate.
