Job summary

Mount Carmel is seeking a Registered Nurse RN for a full-time 12 hour night shift in Columbus, OH. The role operates under the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, delivering high-quality patient care in a setting focused on physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.

The RN collaborates within a multidisciplinary team, follows the Nursing Process, and adheres to organizational standards, policies, and guidelines while supporting Magnet-recognized care practices and patient safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduate from school of nursing.
• Current Ohio RN license.
• For Casual RNs 2 years of experience is required.
• New graduate nurses with less than one year are enrolled in Nurse Residency Program.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care, ensures patient safety, and promotes evidence-based practice and quality initiatives.
• Assesses and evaluates patient care and develops a plan of care with patients and families.
• Communicates pertinent information to team members in a timely manner and keeps patient/family updated.
• Documents assessments, interventions and outcomes per standards and policies.
• Assumes responsibility for care documented by other licensed and unlicensed staff as appropriate.
