Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient care within the Ohio Nurse Practice Act. The Staff RN will deliver care using the Nursing Process according to Mount Carmel Health System policies and guidelines.

You will work during a 12-hour night shift, assess patients, assist with examinations, administer medications, and support emergency situations. Comprehensive benefits and development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS/CPR.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and manage patient care, including delegation to and supervision of other members of the patient care team.
• Basic computer skills; EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient care for an assigned group of patients; assist with assessments, examinations, and treatments; perform basic procedures.
• Administer medications under the provider's direction according to standards and policies.
• Assist in emergency situations under provider direction.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and diagnoses.
• Document assessments, interventions and outcomes per standards.
• Take responsibility for care provided and documentation by others as appropriate.
