Job summary

Regional One Health in Memphis, TN seeks a Registered Nurse for the Medicine Stepdown 4C unit on the Night shift. This full-time inpatient role provides professional nursing care to patients using the nursing process and adheres to established standards and policies.

Responsibilities include assessing patients, planning and delivering care, documenting findings, coordinating with families and other staff, and providing patient teaching.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved nursing school/program (Required)
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred)
• RN – Registered Nurse – State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure to work in state of TN. Upon Hire (Required)
• BCLS – Basic Life Support (Upon Hire Required)
• Experience in caring for patients in an inpatient setting. Qualified by education, training or experience to work with the school age, adolescent, adult and/or geriatric patient population as specialty assignment dictates.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care according to medical regimen and the nursing interventions appropriate for the patients' conditions and according to established standards, policies and procedures including care of the ambulatory practice patient.
• Initiates assessment based on the patient's presenting problems or needs, the physician's medical diagnosis and the functional health framework upon visit.
• Documents assessment, including nursing diagnoses or other clinical judgments.
• Demonstrates knowledge, technical, interpersonal and critical thinking skills to provide care, manage clinical competency and meet age‑specific patient needs within the unit.
• Completes required continuous training and education, including department specific requirements and quality improvement initiatives.
