Job summary

Regional One Health in Memphis, TN is seeking a dedicated Charge Nurse for the Medicine Stepdown unit. This full-time Day position focuses on coordinating shift activities, supervising staff, and delivering direct patient care to ensure quality outcomes.

You will assign duties by patient acuity, implement unit procedures, participate in patient-centered conferences, and act as liaison between staff and physicians to maintain safe, efficient unit operations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved nursing school/program.
• Current RN licensure in Tennessee.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year clinical experience; charge nurse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as charge nurse and supervise patient care by coordinating shift activities.
• Plan staff assignments by patient acuity and ensure efficient unit operations.
• Provide direct nursing care and monitor outcomes of care.
• Develop, assign and review care plans and policies for the unit.
• Act as liaison between staff and physicians to support effective care.
