Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift (7:00pm–7:00am) with rotating weekends. You will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the orthopaedic and medical-surgical setting, collaborating with physicians and the care team to ensure excellent patient outcomes.

Ideal candidates hold an accredited nursing degree, TX RN license, and current BLS. A minimum of 1 year in acute care is required; ortho experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Current RN license in TX or compact license.
• Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in an acute care hospital within the last three years.
• Experience in Ortho is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine health status and needs of patients through data interpretation and collaboration with care team.
• Provide individualized, goal-directed nursing care.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments.
• Formulate and implement nursing care plans.
• Deliver nursing care within RN scope and ensure compliance with relevant laws.
• Develop and implement patient teaching plans for health promotion and restoration.
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and families.
• Care for multiple patients either directly or through delegation.
• Evaluate patient responses and outcomes to interventions.
• Apply critical thinking to analyze clinical data and literature for decision-making.
