Job summary

Atrium Health Lincoln Med Surg Unit (30-bed) is hiring a registered nurse for full-time night shift (7p–7a). The unit serves pediatric, palliative, hospice, infection disease, behavioral health, and orthopedic patients.

The RN collaborates with hospitalists, provides chest tube management, IV therapy, wound care, and med administration while maintaining safety and high-quality care. The ideal candidate is resourceful, flexible, and a team player with strong clinical judgment and communication,

Qualifications

• RN license required; BLS certification required.
• 1 year of clinical nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care with patient/family involvement.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds a culture of safety and ensures accurate EHR documentation.
• May administer medications and therapies according to protocols; may float to other units as needed.
• Adheres to age-specific care and continuous professional development.
