Job summary

Advocate Health's Atrium Health Lincoln Med Surg 2E unit is hiring a Registered Nurse for full-time night shift (7p–7a). The 30-bed unit serves pediatric to orthopedic patients, collaborating with hospitalists and other disciplines. Ideal candidates are resourceful, flexible, and team players.

Requirements include RN licensure with BI- or multi-state privileges, BLS, and a BSN preferred. 1 year of clinical nursing experience is typical; annual benefits and sign-on bonuses may apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where services are provided.
• BLS certification; additional education, training, certifications, or experience may be required by specialty.

Responsibilities

• Engage in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Apply nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care with patient/family involvement.
• Monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans, and collaborate with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Uphold and promote a culture of safety.
• Evaluate patient, team, and unit outcomes and take action as needed.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies per protocols and procedures.
• Demonstrate effective communication and teamwork, with appropriate delegation.
• Pursue professional development and maintain certifications.
• Adhere to ANA ethics and ensure unbiased patient care across disciplines.
• Appropriate delegation to RNs, LPNs, and other staff and accurate EHR documentation.
