Job summary

Atrium Health Lincoln Med Surg Unit is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 36-hour week, 7p-7a with weekend rotation. The unit cares for pediatric, palliative, hospice, infection disease, behavioral health, and orthopedic patients, with collaboration across the hospitalist team to manage chest tubes, IVs, wounds, and medications.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of clinical nursing experience, an active RN license, BLS, and BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where care is provided.
• BLS certification required; additional certifications may be required based on specialty.
• Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Utilizes nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team.
• Upholds a culture of safety and accurate EHR documentation.
• May float to other units within the service area as needed.
• Adheres to age-specific care needs and department policies.
