Job summary

Parkland Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for full-time night shifts (3/12s, 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.) with rotating weekends and holidays. The role requires a valid Texas RN license, a minimum of two years of nursing experience, and BLS certification.

SAMA certification within 30 days of hire is mandatory. The RN will coordinate patient care, educate families, and support discharge planning within Parkland’s nursing model.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Must have two years of nursing experience.
• Current BLS certification and SAMA certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered nursing care per the Texas Nursing Practice Act and facility protocols.
• Participate in shift hand-offs and ensure accurate documentation in EPIC.
• Serve as a preceptor and charge nurse as assigned; support patient discharge planning.
