Job summary

Frederick Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Full Time Night Shift in Labor & Delivery, 1900 – 0730. The role involves 72 hours per pay period (three 12-hour shifts) with holiday rotation, weekend work, and on-call requirements.

Labor & Delivery provides obstetric care with a 14-L&D room unit; RN scrub training is expected after 1 year. Compensation is commensurate with experience, with a sign-on bonus for eligible full-time night positions.

Qualifications

Eligible for or currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Maryland or compact state.
Associates degree in Nursing required; Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred or willing to obtain within 5 years of employment.
Min 1 yr Labor & Delivery Nursing Experience Required
BLS certification is required
NRP certification required upon hire or within 90 days of employment
C-EFM certification required upon hire or within 1 yr of employment

Responsibilities

Assesses the biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, educational and discharge planning of patients according to nursing standards.
Uses knowledge to identify patient needs and prioritize treatment; documents changes in patient assessment.
Provides initial assessment and reassessments according to standards and documents per policy.
Initiates individualized plan of care using nursing diagnosis and involves family and other disciplines.
Implements plan of care in compliance with hospital policies and collaborates with health care team.
