RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse for the Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, night shift, full-time, on-site in Newark, NJ. The role offers growth in a supportive team focused on safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, medications, and family education, with EMR documentation in EPIC. Requires NJ RN license, BLS, ACLS/NRP within 90 days, and a BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing; NJ endorsement accepted.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• NRP certification within 90 days of hire.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• Prior patient care experience and comfort with EMR systems (EPIC).
• Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize subtle clinical changes, intervening early.
• Provide safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands-on care.
• Serve as a clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers for timely decisions.
• Educate patients and families clearly and compassionately.
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record to promote continuity.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to support seamless communication.
• Contribute to a collaborative team with shared accountability.
• Pursue professional growth through continuing education and clinical ladder opportunities.
