Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Santa Fe, NM is seeking a full-time RN to provide direct patient care during 12-hour night shifts. You will manage nursing care, coordinate with the care team and families, and lead home health aides to deliver high-quality outcomes.

The role requires ADN or higher and RN licensure with certifications in BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS. Expect shift differentials and a strong emphasis on patient safety, education, and compliance within a supportive care environment.

Qualifications

• Academic preparation includes ADN or higher and RN licensure.
• Certification requirements listed in the ad (AHA/ASHI/Red Cross and BLS/ACLS/NRP/PALS).
• Experience with direct patient care in a nursing role and home health knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Oversee delivery of patient care and delegate assignments to staff.
• Maintain clinical competence and adjust care plans as needed.
• Coordinate care with patients, families, and other disciplines.
• Provide patient and family education using teaching aids.
• Ensure informed consent and patient rights are understood.
• Lead staff in adherence to clinical standards and policies.
• Use equipment proficiently and support problem solving within the team.
• Perform on-call duties and triage patients by phone or in person.
• Direct staff development around top ICD-9 related codes and diagnoses.
• Supervise home health aides, ensuring Medicare/Medicaid compliance.
• Fulfill other duties as required.
