Qualifications

• Degree from accredited academic nursing program (minimum ADN).
• State of New Mexico nursing license or compact licensure required.
• Certification prerequisites: BLS; ACLS for specified units; NRP; PALS.

Responsibilities

• Oversee delivery of patient care, delegate to home health aides and nursing staff based on patient needs.
• Maintain clinical competency and adjust care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Coordinate patient care with family, physicians, and community resources.
• Educate patients and families about rights, consent, and care plans.
• Direct educational needs for common diagnoses and conditions and supervise home health aides.
• Ensure compliance with Medicare/Medicaid rules and hospital policies.
• Communicate effectively with nursing team and other disciplines; participate in problem solving.
