Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Columbus, Ohio is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time night-shift role. You will deliver high-quality patient care within the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, working under nursing leadership to support a compassionate, patient-centered environment.

You will assess, administer medications, and respond to emergencies while educating patients and families, documenting care thoroughly, and coordinating with care teams to ensure optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Ohio.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and manage patient care with delegation.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient care for an assigned group of patients using evidence-based practice.
• Administer medications under provider direction per standards and policies.
• Assist in emergency situations under provider supervision.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and diagnoses.
• Document assessments, interventions and outcomes accurately per guidelines.
• Assume responsibility for care provided by other team members as appropriate.
