Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System is hiring a Registered Nurse for a 12 hour night shift in Columbus, Ohio. You will provide high-quality patient care within the Ohio Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policies.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, document care with EMR, and support families through education and discharge planning. We value compassionate, patient-centered care and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Ohio.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and manage patient care.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR).

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient care for an assigned group of patients using evidence-based practice.
• Assist providers with patient assessments, examinations and treatments.
• Perform basic medical procedures under provider supervision.
• Administer medications according to organizational standards.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and diagnoses.
• Document assessments and interventions accurately in the patient's chart.
