Job summary

Adventist Health Sonora is seeking a nursing supervisor to oversee operations, collaborate with Nursing Directors, and ensure patient and staff safety. The role includes facilitating clinical functions and guiding interdisciplinary care decisions.

The position requires RN licensure and a Bachelor’s degree in nursing, with preferred Master’s and critical care experience. Night shifts, strong leadership, and coordination across hospital departments are essential.

Qualifications

• Education and Work Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
• Master's Degree: Preferred
• Five years' technical experience: Preferred
• One year's experience working in a critical care setting: Preferred
• Licenses/Certifications:RN licensure in the state of practice: Required
• CPR/BLS: Required
• ACLS: Required for all facilities, except Behavioral Health
• Clinical specialty and/or nursing administration certification: Preferred
• Facility/Department certifications: Required

Responsibilities

• Supervises nursing personnel and operations by making rounds on a regular basis.
• Assesses routine and non-routine conditions of patients and plans care accordingly.
• Works with staff to develop and revise interdisciplinary plans of care as needed.
• Responds to acute unit codes and medical emergencies for inpatients.
• Manages bed placement, discharge planning, and patient transfers.
• Oversees staff orientation, training, and adherence to policies.
