Job summary

Woodlawn Health seeks an RN House Supervisor to lead the night shift with professionalism and accountability. You will oversee after-hours hospital operations, support nursing staff, manage patient flow, and respond to emergencies while upholding high quality standards.

You will drive staffing, supervise care delivery, and educate teams, always prioritizing patient safety and confidentiality in a dynamic hospital environment.

Qualifications

• RN license in Indiana required; maintain licensure and report renewals.
• BLS certification required prior to direct patient care; maintain per policy.
• ACLS certification required or willingness to obtain within reasonable time frame.
• PALS and NRP preferred.
• S.T.A.B.L.E. certification desirable.
• Desire and ability to educate nursing staff, patients, and families.
• Maintain strict confidentiality as defined by hospital policy.
• Adapt scheduling to overtime, shifts, or census changes.

Responsibilities

• Be the highest-ranking administrative person in charge after hours when senior staff are unavailable.
• Assist in monthly scheduling; ensure adequate staffing coverage on nursing units.
• Direct patient care direction and make immediate administrative decisions for the hospital.
• Manage personnel, staffing, supplies, and equipment on nursing units.
• Assist Department Directors with yearly and introductory staff evaluations.
• Educate staff on electronic health records; serve as a resource for departments and physicians.
• Implement emergency protocols and coordinate with police, fire, HAZMAT, and other services.
• Update physician call schedules across nursing departments.
