Havenwyck Hospital is seeking an RN House Supervisor for 12-hour nights (36 hrs/week) to oversee nursing staff and patient care on a designated shift. This role requires leadership, adherence to policies, and coordination with the Nurse Unit Manager for staffing and patient safety.

The House Supervisor will manage admissions, supervise staff, and respond to emergencies with disciplinary action if needed. A Michigan RN license and psychiatric experience are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current status as a registered nurse in the State of Michigan.
• Three to five years of psychiatric experience with 1–2 years in management.
• Current BLS/CPR certification; proficient in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention.
• Employees must be in good standing for internal transfers.

Responsabilités

• Uses the nursing process to ensure appropriate delivery of nursing care.
• Knowledge of hospital administrative and nursing policies and procedures.
• Adjusts staffing to ensure proper coverage with designated staff/patient ratios in collaboration with Nurse Unit Manager.
• Responsible for replacement of staff as scheduled.
• Reports and informs appropriate administrators of issues requiring follow-up.
• Monitors and evaluates nursing care; provides supervision on assigned shift; participates in program development.
• Ensures admission policies and procedures are followed during shifts.
• Oversees restraints or seclusion in emergencies and notifies physicians per policy.
• Directs activities during emergencies (fire, disasters, hazards) per procedures.
• Reviews intake information with Intake Referral Coordinator to ensure timely referrals.
• Investigates incidents/complaints and reports to appropriate leadership.
