Job summary

Holy Cross Health in Silver Spring, MD, seeks a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) for a 12-hour night shift on a Gen/Surgical Unit. The RN will plan and provide professional nursing services in alignment with experience, education, and state board standards.

The role emphasizes relationship-centered, compassionate care, collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, and education for patients and families throughout the stay and at discharge.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program; BSN or MSN preferred.
• Current Maryland State Board of Nursing license or Compact State RN.
• BLS certification.
• Superb interpersonal, communication and collaboration abilities.
• Competency in electronic patient management systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside nursing care in accordance with standards of practice.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure patient-centered care.
• Maintain accurate and timely health records and documentation.
• Administer medications and monitor for efficacy and adverse effects.
• Assess patient condition and modify care plans as needed.
• Educate patients and families throughout stay and at discharge.
