Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Leominster, MA, is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care following the nursing process from admission to discharge. The role emphasizes assessment, care planning, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams in a patient-centered environment.

Required Massachusetts nursing licensure and BLS; ACLS may be required for certain units. Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing.
• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS is required for every RN unless ACLS is current.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process for planning, delivery and management of patient care.
• Performs patient assessments and reassessments according to standard procedures.
• Develops and coordinates individualized care plans including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care within the assigned setting.
• Documents patient care according to standard procedures.
• Ensures quality and continuity of care through collaboration with other health care providers.
• Administers medications and assists physicians with procedures and tests.
