Job summary

UMass Memorial Health's Med Surg Unit in Leominster, MA is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 7:00pm–7:30am night shift. This on-site role focuses on direct patient care utilizing the nursing process within a diverse patient population.

You will perform assessments, coordinate discharge planning, document care, and collaborate with physicians and the health-care team to ensure high-quality outcomes and safety. Licensed MA RN with BLS is required, ACLS/other certifications may be needed per unit.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration is required.
• BLS certification is required; ACLS/other certifications as applicable.
• Experience with Med Surg patient care and nursing processes.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for patient care from admission to discharge.
• Performs assessments and coordinates discharge planning.
• Documents care and participates in quality improvement initiatives.
• Administers medications and collaborates with physicians.
