Role involves floating between UNC Rex Raleigh and UNC Rex Holly Springs campuses, with three 12-hour shifts per week and a 36-hour minimum. The team emphasizes collaboration and high‑quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
• If hired after January 6, 2014, must be enrolled within four years of employment and obtain a Bachelor's or Master’s degree within seven years.
• RN licensure in North Carolina and BLS certification are required.

Responsibilities

• Education: identify learning needs, attend programs, use patient education materials, assess readiness to learn.
• Evaluation of Care: determine outcomes, revise care plan, discuss with the team, promote continuity of care.
• Implementation: provide care for complex patients, perform bedside testing, follow standards and organize care.
• Leadership: set goals, promote growth, collaborate, support cost-effective care and safety.
• Patient Assessment: interpret data to set care priorities, anticipate discharge needs, liaise with families.
• Planning: collaborate on care plans, use multidisciplinary resources, address cultural considerations, prioritize tasks.
• Research: read relevant journals, bring ideas to the team for applicability.
