Job summary

UNC Rex Healthcare is seeking a compassionate registered nurse to join the Staffing Response Team on a per diem basis in Raleigh, NC. The role requires floating across at least two service areas and includes night shifts (12-hour) every other week or three night shifts in six weeks.

You will work across UNC Rex Raleigh and UNC Rex Holly Springs campuses, delivering safe, high-quality care and collaborating with diverse teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (BSN) from an accredited School of Nursing preferred.
• NC RN Licensure required.
• BLS;ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum of two years of acute care hospital experience in the chosen clinical division desired.

Responsibilities

• Documents patient assessment, care provided and response to care according to procedure.
• Maintains safe environment and follows patient safety protocols; responds to alarms and uses Safe Patient Handling equipment.
• Develops a plan of care and collaborates with the health care team; initiates and implements care plans.
• Implements nursing plan of care, reviews diagnostic data, and communicates patient status using SBAR.
