UNC Health’s Rex 6 East Short Stay Unit in Raleigh seeks a part-time Registered Nurse to provide competent clinical care, coordinate patient care, and support discharge planning. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality nursing services, ensuring safety and adherence to standards.

The role requires NC nursing licensure and BLS certification, with an emphasis on patient education, rapid assessment, and coordination for efficient bed turnover in a busy 31-bed unit.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.

Responsabilités

• Provides competent clinical nursing care in the hospital setting.
• Coordinates and delivers patient care utilizing the nursing process.
• Educates patients and families and participates in discharge planning.
• Identifies learning needs and attends education programs for self-improvement.
• Evaluates care with interdisciplinary team discussion to ensure continuity of care.
• Organizes and prioritizes care according to patient and family needs.
• Participates in unit goals and performance improvement activities.
