UNC Health is seeking compassionate nurses to join the Staffing Response Team (SRT) at UNC Rex Raleigh and Holly Springs. Inpatient float pool with cross-unit duties, including Labor and Delivery, Post Partum and Level II Nursery. Float to at least two service areas; per diem, 12-hour night shifts, at least every other week.

Requires BSN preferred and NC RN licensure with BLS/ACLS. Minimum two years acute care experience and strong teamwork and patient education skills are expected.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of nursing preferred.
• Must have NC RN Licensure and BLS/ACLS.
• Minimum two years of current acute care hospital experience in the chosen clinical division desired.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain an environment of safety for patients, self and others and support patient safety initiatives.
• Assessments are timely and a holistic approach is utilized; inform physicians and utilize resources.
• Document patient assessment, care provided and response to care; ensure delegated tasks are documented.
• Develop an individualized plan of care with the health care team; initiate plan of care on admission and initiate consults.
• Implements the nursing plan of care on assigned patients and evaluates outcomes to prevent complications.
• Clarifies medication orders prior to end of shift; administers medications with two identifiers and explains to patients.
• Initiates patient education per physician/hospital procedure and documents instruction to patient and family.
• Adheres to Rex policies and attends mandatory education; upholds ANA Code of Ethics in practice.
