Job summary

Cherry Hill Free Clinic, Inc. in Augusta, ME seeks a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department BH Suite to provide direct patient care to behavioral health patients using the nursing process.

Responsibilities include developing and evaluating care plans, monitoring patient conditions, and educating patients and families while collaborating across disciplines. 12-hour night shifts, 24 hours per week in a specialized behavioral health unit.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of acute care RN experience with behavioral health patients.
• Maine RN license or ability to obtain.
• BLS and MOAB preferred.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Commitment to ongoing learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to behavioral health patients using the nursing process.
• Develop and evaluate care plans, monitor and communicate patient conditions.
• Collaborate across disciplines, and educate patients and families.
• Delegate tasks appropriately and may precept students and new staff.
• Work 12-hour night shifts, 24 hours per week in a specialized behavioral health unit.
