Job summary
MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the 3 South inpatient behavioral health unit at the Alfond Center for Health. This full-time position (36 hours per week) offers day shifts from 7am to 7pm and a supportive team environment.
You will develop and evaluate care plans, coordinate with the care team, educate patients and families, and may precept new hires. Active Maine RN license is required, with 1 year of acute care experience preferred; new
Qualifications
- Active Maine RN license is required or ability to obtain promptly.
- 1 year of acute care RN experience working with this patient population is preferred.
- New Graduate RNs are encouraged to apply!
- BLS and MOAB certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes.
- Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, admissions, discharges, and referrals.
- Educates patients and families appropriate to age, culture, and condition.
- May precept student nurses and new hires and delegate care tasks.
