Job summary

MaineGeneral Health is seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Registered Nurse to join the ED Behavioral Health Suite. This role provides direct patient care to behavioral health patients in a structured, therapeutic environment.

The position is 24 hours per week on the night shift (7p-7a) within the Emergency Dept BH Suite, with opportunities for professional development and growth within the organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of acute care RN experience serving behavioral health patients.
• Current Maine RN license or ability to obtain in a timely fashion.
• BLS and MOAB certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and evaluate care plans for behavioral health patients.
• Monitor, document, and communicate patient status; coordinate transfers and discharges.
• Provide patient/family education appropriate to age and cultural context.
