Job summary

Banner Health's Banner University Medical Center - Phoenix (BUMCP) seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist for part-time night shifts in a fast-paced, high-volume academic medical center. The role emphasizes ventilator management, diagnostic testing, and collaborative care with physicians and nursing teams.

As a valued member of our respiratory care team, you will provide expert therapy, monitor patient response, document thoroughly, and participate in quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Associate or technical degree.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Current state license to practice.
• 1 year acute care hospital experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card (for Home Care AZ) where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care and pulmonary/cardiology diagnostic testing.
• Operate and manage mechanical ventilators as prescribed.
• Assemble, use and troubleshoot respiratory care equipment.
• Perform patient assessments and modify therapy as needed.
• Document therapy accurately and communicate care plans.
