Job summary

Banner Health's Banner University Medical Center - Phoenix seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join a high-volume, trauma-focused team on days (36 hours/week).

You will perform all respiratory care modalities, manage ventilators, conduct diagnostic testing, assess patients, and collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to optimize care. RRT certification and NBRC pass are required; BLS is required.

Qualifications

• Associate or technical degree required.
• RRT credential via NBRC required for new hires.
• Current state license as required by law.
• Minimum 1 year acute care hospital experience (Banner Home Care requires AZ clearance).
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care modalities prescribed by physicians.
• Manage ventilators and adjust settings to improve patient condition.
• Perform diagnostic testing in pulmonary/cardiology areas.
• Assess patient response and document care accurately.
• Collaborate with care team and may supervise staff.
