Banner Health is seeking Part-Time Registered Respiratory Therapists for night shifts at Banner University Medical Center in Phoenix. Work two 12-hour shifts (6:00 pm–6:30 am) with an 18% night differential and weekend differential of $3/hour where applicable.

Qualifications

• Associate or technical degree.
• Proof of NBRC as Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• RRT required for all new hires after October 1, 2015.
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at time of hire (and maintain).
• Licensed as required by state law.
• Banner Registry positions require a minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Must have valid driver’s license and be eligible for company auto insurance.
• One year of clinical experience in an acute care setting as an RRT in the past 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Performs all basic modalities of respiratory care as prescribed by physicians and/or licensed practitioners.
• Manages mechanical ventilators in collaboration with physicians and/or licensed practitioners; adjusts to improve condition and wean as appropriate.
• Assembles, disassembles, operates, maintains and troubleshoots respiratory care equipment and circuitry.
• Performs pulmonary and cardiology diagnostic testing per policies and procedures.
• Performs patient assessments and documents therapy; recommends changes to plan of care.
• Collaborates with care team to formulate plans and resolve problems; may supervise department staff.
• Independently provides respiratory care across multiple hospital settings as needed.
