Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate or technical degree required.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required.
• RRT certification required for all new hires after Oct 1, 2015.
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card for Banner Home Care AZ at hire.
• BLS certification required.
• One year acute care hospital respiratory therapy experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care, pulmonary and cardiology testing as prescribed.
• Operate and manage ventilators, adjusting for patient condition.
• Assemble, disassemble, troubleshoot and maintain equipment used in respiratory care.
• Conduct pulmonary and cardiology diagnostic testing per policies.
• Assess patients and document responses, collaborating with physicians.
• Coordinate with staff to update care plans and modify therapy as needed.
• May supervise department staff and work across system facilities.
