Job summary

Great Lakes Management is seeking a Part-time Resident Assistant in Bloomington, MN. The role involves providing hands-on care and emotional support to residents, assisting with daily living activities, and collaborating with nursing staff to maintain care plans.

Responsibilities include communicating with residents and families, documenting daily progress, and participating in activities. The position offers shift differentials and a 401(k) plan, with pay ranging from $17 to $25 per hour.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living residence (Preferred).
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aide or CNAs (Preferred).
• Ability to make responsible choices and decisions in the resident’s best interests.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs as indicated in the service agreement.
• Help residents reach and maintain the highest level of independence.
• Provide residents with physical and emotional support.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the service agreement.
• Observe residents and report changes in physical or emotional condition to the case manager.
• Interact with residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate.
• Complete all required documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheet, communication book, etc.
