Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Care practitioner to perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory therapy in Saint Louis, MO. You will consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness and serve as a key resource for the care team.

The role requires graduation from a CoARC-approved program, current RCP licensure, and NBRC RRT credential, with ACLS preferred and critical care experience preferred. Night shifts include a bonus potential and shift differential.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program.
• Licensure: Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Experience: None.
• Certifications: Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by NBRC. For ER, PALS may be required.
• Other: Physical demands include push/pull/grip up to 50 lbs; kneel, crouch, crawl as needed.
• Preferred Education: ACLS.
• Preferred Experience: Prefer critical care experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care as ordered by physicians.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as advanced resource person for physicians and nursing staff.
