Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to perform direct patient care per physician orders at Saint Louis, MO. The role involves consulting on therapy effectiveness and serving as a resource for medical staff.

Night shifts run 7:00 pm to 7:30 am, with eligible shift differential and a sign-on bonus up to $10,000. Requirements include graduation from a CoArc-approved Respiratory Care program, a current RCP license, and the NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist credential.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of CoArc-approved Respiratory Care program.
• Licensure: Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Experience: None.
• Certifications: RRT credential; PALS for ER staff.
• Other: Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs, push/pull, kneel/crouch/crawl.
• Preferred: ACLS; Critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders.
• Consults physicians on therapy effectiveness.
• Acts as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff.
• Performs duties as assigned.
