Job summary

West Tennessee Healthcare in Jackson, TN is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide quality patient care on the day shift. Under the general supervision of the Director and Clinic Manager, you will use the nursing process and supervise other nursing staff on the assigned clinic shift as scheduled.

The employee may be called back and required to work overtime as needed by the clinic. You must maintain licensure, complete BLS within orientation, and ACLS may be required in specialty clinics.

Qualifications

• Completion of a nursing degree from an accredited program.
• Current RN license in Tennessee; BLS certification required; ACLS may be required in some clinics.
• Ability to work under supervision and coordinate with staff.
• Commitment to quality patient care and infection control.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial patient assessment using the nursing process and plans care.
• Documents care in patient records and ensures accurate transcription of orders.
• Administers medications, IV fluids, blood, and blood products as needed.
• Maintains infection control and sterilizes equipment between patient visits.
• Responds to emergencies, initiates CPR, and assists with physician rounds as indicated.
• Precepts new employees during orientation.
