RWJBarnabas Health's Central Jersey Behavioral Health seeks a Recovery Specialist to provide non-clinical support, develop recovery care plans, educate individuals on recovery models, and connect patients with community resources within a multidisciplinary team.

This night-shift, full-time role values lived experience, compassionate communication, and strong organization to document care, facilitate meetings, and help patients navigate treatment and services while maintaining grant compliance.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in recovery principles that support health and wellness.
• Ability to travel within a 60-mile radius of the assigned hospital for cross-coverage.
• Must obtain Nationally Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist (NCPRSS) within 6 months of employment.
• Bilingual ability and knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-clinical individual and group recovery support to develop care plans.
• Educate individuals on recovery models and connect with community resources.
• Document activities in the electronic health record per IFPR guidelines.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams and community partners.
• Model recovery through lived experience to inspire hope.
• Participate in recovery support meetings and groups.
• Ensure timely, accurate documentation for grant compliance.
