Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a per diem Recovery Specialist to provide non-clinical support and recovery planning at Monmouth Medical Center. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to educate individuals and connect them with community resources, while documenting services to support grant reporting.

The role emphasizes lived experience, compassionate communication, and maintaining accurate records. Travel within a 60-mile radius may be required to cover shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with minimum four years’ experience in recovery principles.
• Willingness to travel within a 60-mile radius of the hospital for cross coverage.
• Nationally Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist (NCPRSS) within 6 months of employment.
• Bilingual ability and knowledge of Microsoft Office suite preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-clinical individual and group recovery support.
• Develop individualized recovery care plans based on client needs and screenings.
• Educate individuals on recovery models and connect to community resources.
• Document interactions in the electronic health record per IFPR guidelines.
