Job summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, OH is hiring a registered nurse with at least 1 year of experience to join our new Behavioral Health Pavilion on night shift. The role is 0.6 FTE (24 hours per week) with every other weekend required and a starting pay of $36.90/hr plus night and weekend premiums.

You will provide patient-centered care, collaborate with the care team, document per policy, and ensure safety and quality throughout the patient episode while maintaining Ohio RN licensure

Qualifications

• RN license in the state of Ohio (Ohio RN license)
• Current CPR certification required; willing to obtain NRP, PALS, ACLS, APHON or other certifications as determined by manager

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care using a Family Centered approach.
• Assesses individualized patient needs and communicates priorities to LPNs, PCAs, Unit Coordinators, and Allied Health staff.
• Plans, implements, educates and evaluates care using Evidence-Based Practices.
• Utilizes Therapeutic Communication while monitoring the physical, psychological, and social needs of patients and families.
• Engages in the workplace community by staying aware of changes, participating in data collection or auditing, and reporting important updates to staff.
• Documents according to organizational standards, policies, and procedures.

Education

BSN or Associate degree with commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire
