Job summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a 0.9 FTE night shift in Columbus, OH. The role focuses on safe, efficient patient movement and evidence-based care, with supervision of LPNs, PCAs, and allied staff.

Requirements include Ohio RN license, a BSN or ADN with commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years, and current CPR certification; willingness to pursue NRP/PALS/ACLS/APHON or equivalent as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate degree with commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Ohio.
• Current CPR certification; willing to obtain/maintain NRP, PALS, ACLS, APHON or other needed certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care using a Family Centered approach.
• Assesses individualized patient needs and communicates to LPNs, PCAs, unit coordinators and Allied Health staff.
• Plans, implements, educates and evaluates care using Evidence-Based Practices.
• Utilizes therapeutic communication while monitoring patient and family needs.
• Participates in workplace activities, data collection/quality improvement, and reports updates to staff.
