Job summary

Mars, Incorporated and its Affiliates in Kansas City, MO, is seeking an Operator 2 for the night shift in the Nutro manufacturing plant. The role emphasizes safe, efficient production, quality and compliance with GMP/HACCP while supporting continuous improvement and on-the-floor leadership for temporary staff.

You will operate equipment, perform change-overs, run quality checks, patch jams, and assist with basic preventive maintenance, while maintaining food safety procedures and reporting

Qualifications

• Requires strong communication, troubleshooting, and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment with safety as priority.
• Experience with GMP/HACCP and food safety practices is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to complete the conversion process and package finished product prior to shipping.
• Conduct problem-solving and troubleshooting as necessary.
• Load packaged material, clear jams, reset faults, perform change-overs, and conduct quality checks.
• Maintain area GMPs and perform basic preventative maintenance (CILs).
• Ensure quality and food safety procedural conformance.
• Wear PPE and report safety hazards immediately.
• Communicate accurately using computer systems.
• Provide informal leadership to temporary associates on the production line.
