Job summary
Mars, Incorporated in Topeka, Kansas is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician for the night shift. This role focuses on independently maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production and ancillary equipment across the plant.
The position also involves leading the maintenance team during shifts and coordinating breakdowns and planned maintenance. The role requires advanced electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic skills, plus the ability to train technicians and drive PM and downtime
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
- Technical degree/trade certification or 4 years or more of manufacturing technician experience.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic schematics and mechanical drawings.
Responsibilities
- Functions as the technical expert/leader for the technical team on shift.
- Night Shift Point of Contact; manage priorities across the site.
- Lead and coordinate maintenance activities, breakdowns, and PMs.
- Ensure compliance with site policies, GMPs and safe work practices.
- Perform advanced electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair.
- Oversee planned stops coordination and resource allocation.
