Job summary

Mars Petcare is seeking a qualified Operator 2 for our Kansas City, MO plant to work the night shift. You will operate and troubleshoot production lines, perform changeovers, ensure product quality and GMP compliance, and support inventory and sanitation tasks on the line.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and reliability, with a high school diploma and basic computer skills. Experience in food manufacturing is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently without supervision as well as within a team setting.
• Effective analytical, troubleshooting, and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to complete conversion and package finished product prior to shipping.
• Conduct problem-solving and troubleshooting as necessary.
• Load packaged material, clear jams, reset faults, conduct change-overs, perform quality checks, report issues, and maintain area GMPs.
• Complete basic preventative maintenance work as assigned (CILs).
• Ensure quality and food safety procedural conformance.
• Wear required PPE and report safety hazards immediately.
• Communicate accurate and timely information using computer systems.
