Job summary

Barry Callebaut in Chicago is seeking a Team Lead, Production to manage the night shift and supervise hourly staff in a fast-paced chocolate manufacturing environment. You will train, coach, and problem-solve to ensure safe, compliant operations.

You will coordinate with the Plant Production Supervisor, maintain GMP/HACCP standards, and drive process improvements while ensuring accurate shift documentation and timely communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with at least two years of supervisory experience in food manufacturing.
• Proficiency in English, written and spoken.
• Experience with SAP and MS Office (Excel/PowerPoint) preferred.
• Teamwork and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production activities of the assigned night shift and coordinate with supervisors.
• Coach and support team members; conduct briefings and performance assessments.
• Train hourly and temporary staff; arrange cross-training across production areas.
• Ensure GMP, HACCP, safety standards and clean, sanitary conditions.
• Complete shift paperwork promptly and communicate operations updates.
