Job summary

Barry Callebaut is seeking a Maintenance Lead to oversee a shift of Technicians, coordinate workload, and drive improvements in safety, quality, and efficiency at our Chicago site. The role reports to the Maintenance Manager and requires hands-on technical leadership.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in industrial maintenance, experience with CMMS, and knowledge of HACCP/GMP/OSHA. Overtime and holiday shutdowns may be required, with a comprehensive benefits package and growth opportunities within

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in industrial manufacturing maintenance.
• Experience using CMMS and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google systems.
• Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, OSHA regulations.
• Ability to read manuals, line diagrams and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Lead a shift of Maintenance Technicians and prioritize workload.
• Collaborate with production, planning, quality and other teams as needed.
• Drive process improvement initiatives for the Maintenance team.
• Coach and train technicians, operators, or other personnel in maintenance best practices.
• Assist the Maintenance Manager and Plant Manager in achieving departmental KPIs.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems on equipment.
