Job summary

Barry Callebaut is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead a shift of technicians and coordinate maintenance activities across a busy chocolate production site in Chicago. You will drive process improvements, ensure equipment reliability, and uphold safety and food safety standards.

The role requires strong leadership, hands-on troubleshooting, and the ability to collaborate across maintenance, production, quality, and planning teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with accredited apprenticeship or related industrial maintenance certification.
• Minimum of 8 years in industrial manufacturing maintenance; food industry experience preferred.
• Experience with CMMS and standard office software.
• Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, OSHA regulations.
• Ability to read manuals, schematics, and line diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Lead a shift of Maintenance Technicians, coordinating workload and priorities.
• Collaborate with production, planning, quality, and maintenance teams.
• Drive process improvement initiatives and projects for the Maintenance team.
• Coach and train technicians on maintenance best practices.
• Maintain safety and food safety compliance across the site.
• Manage inventory accuracy and liaise with warehouse and purchasing teams.
