Job summary

Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America in De Soto, Kansas, is hiring a Production Supervisor to lead safe, efficient 24/7 shift operations in our high-volume facility as we expand the world’s largest lithium-ion battery campus.

You will drive Lean manufacturing, implement SWIs, coach frontline teams, and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and cost targets while building a capable, engaged workforce.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a technical discipline. Relevant work experience may substitute.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Admin, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) and OSHA 30-Hour General Industry certification.
• 3+ years in progressive leadership in a high-volume, 24/7 manufacturing environment.
• Lean, 6S, and continuous improvement experience.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills; effective communicator.
• Working-level English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily shift operations to hit production, quality, cost, and delivery targets.
• Maintain SWIs and standardized work across teams.
• Plan and assign schedules and priorities for team members.
• Drive Lean, 6S, and SQDCP metric initiatives.
• Coach and develop team members; collaborate with HR on performance issues.
• Support PFMEA and risk mitigation with process engineers.
• Ensure safety standards and monitor quality at all stages.
• Train new employees on SOPs and safety protocols.
