Job summary

Panasonic Energy is expanding to De Soto, Kansas, and seeks a Production Supervisor to lead a 24/7 manufacturing shift in a high-volume lithium-ion battery facility. You will drive safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets with standardized work and Lean methods.

The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and ability to coach a cross-functional team while delivering measurable improvements in performance and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a technical discipline required; relevant work experience may substitute.
• 3+ years of progressive leadership in a high-volume manufacturing environment; 2+ years as PECNA Process Lead (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Business/Operations/Engineering (preferred).
• Six Sigma Green Belt (preferred) and OSHA 30-Hour General Industry (preferred).
• Proficient in PFMEA, control plans, root cause analysis; ERP/MES experience (e.g., SAP, Oracle).

Responsibilities

• Lead daily shift operations to meet production, quality, cost, and delivery targets.
• Ensure adherence to Standardized Work Instructions (SWIs) and safety procedures.
• Plan and assign work schedules and priorities; develop team capability and engagement.
• Drive Lean, 6S, and continuous improvement initiatives; participate in issue resolution and data-driven decisions.
• Train and onboard new employees; coach and mentor to improve performance.
• Collaborate with HR and leadership on employee relations and performance issues.
